I walk through the door ~
Get Sam's backpack from the car ~
Mulberry leaves sprout ~
Smile stretches my face open ~
I see what is important

Clock

in the silence of early morning,

I notice and smile at 

the rhythmic clicking tick 

of this home-office clock.
